Jealously...

I have to admit, i'm a insecure, jealous natured person... but really! Some things in life just aren't fair!! (enter in theme song and choregraphed dance with a cast and crew of hundreds)

(Enter in Jealously Jokes.... as follows)

I meant, yeah I get to live in uber cute, old house that all sorts of quirky, and has old grumpy cats that pee all over.... but some times I feel the urge to move to a 70's retro house.... like my friends down the way.... (yes, i'm talking about you Bekky, Bonnie, and Erin!)

Seriously! There house has ONE main feature that I just CANNOT handle...

(Are you ready for this?)

(no really, are you ready)

THEIR CEILING GLITTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK- I didn't get the best shot of it glittering.... this is the best i could do... but you see those white specks? It's GLITTER.... I like shiny! Seriously, when i'm over there I just sit and stare at the ceiling the WHOLE time.... It Fascinating!! Me likes!

on a completely different note..... whose going to the princess festival with me? Any takers???

Ahem.

http://www.youshouldhaveseenthis.com/

Instructions.

1) go to this website.
2) Waste the next 6 hours LOL'ing like you never have before.
3) repeat.

egg-plaining my self...

Hehehehe.... so yet another great succesful FHE has gone down. We dyed easter eggs and ate cupcakes... I did a make it your self spread, with choclate or lemon cupcakes, and then Mint, Lemon or Choclate frosting.

(FHE minions)

(CupCake Bar)

The BEST part though, you see is that my roommate has chickens... as in real, live chickens. That lay eggs, eggs that she collects EVERY morning... so guess what got put into the chicken coop for her to find?? THATS right. I totally put some dyed eggs in with the laid eggs.. I am SOOO excited for her to find them :)

Let's be honest. My calling at chuch is to basically throw a party every week! It gets old, but then I have a great time while everyone is over.... so it's all good in the end. Now, I have but to wait to hear back from my roommate once she discovers the eggs in the chicken coop.... SWEET!!!

Conference

Yeah!!

So.... I went to conference yesterday! I was kinda spur of the moment. I found out on thurs
day that a friend of mine Erin- had tickets and neeed someone to go with her.... as in she couldn't find someone to go with her... duh. The answer to, 'do you want to go to conference with me' is ALWAYS yes!

Unfortuntly, I made a BIG judgement error in shoe choice... I picked these shoes from my mission- that I remember being comfortable... they wern't. I walked my left heel bloody just from the parking lot to conference... then I had to walk back to the car afterwards... I eventually took off my shoes and just walked on the cold, cold cement... can I say it had been showing? and was like.... 30 deg out?

Poor, poor feet ;(

However, I digress. Back to conference. It was great! I really liked the tickets we had- they were way close... like on the floor right up by the front. We really enjoyed the chance to be able to be in the presence of the prophet and apostles!

I really feel like this conference is about the economy... about provident living and about making choices that guide us in our life towards Christ. Yeah- just really... be normal stong members and build your life in a better direction...

From my notes...

I like Eyring's comment about, 'Tragety does not corode faith, it tests and strengthens it'. I really agree with this thought. I've felt for a long time that when life gives us lemons, that it is our duty to make lemonade.... like, god needs some lemonade made, and he's given the job to me.....

I also liked Margaret Liffereth who spoke on respect and reservation. I really felt like it's always time to encourage people to remember to show respect for each other. She said "reservation flows from our respect and admiration for diety". How lovely. I always like it when talks like this come through that helps to remind me (and everyone else) to be sober and respectful....

Hmmm... Barbara Thompson is talking right now... I like what she just said... 'God uses us to bless each other, thats who it's important to serve one another'. It's true. I hate when I find out that I could have been serving someone, and I didn't. Not that it happens that often, really i'm more scared when I have free time, because it usually lines up with a tragety in my family (see quote above from Eyring on this).... Like, big probs... not that I mind... it's like my role in life to serve, so I'm ready!

Hm.... i'm going to stop blogging so I can listen more closely to Elder Holland.... maybe more to come...
