So this is just a quick update for all those of you out there waiting in intense enthrallment of where i'm at.. I made it home safely!!
I met this nice lady, and split a car rental with her. It was scary, there was black ice, but we made it safely to Vancouver. Now i'm here in my parents living sitting safely, and typing away.
Yes, the drive, which normally only takes 2 1/2 hours, did take 4 1/2. And the car rental cost $250 (I only had the car for 6 hours, can I saw rip off?) But whose complaining? I'm here. I'm safe.
Now I get to think about how the heck i'm going to get back to Provo in a week. I just may be working from home for a bit. Eeks!

ICE!!!
As, I sit here in the Salt Lake Airport, I ponder the joy of traveling.... during the winter.
Yesterday, I had attempted to come here to fly, only to be rudely told to get out of line because I'm heading to the forbidden destination- PORTLAND. Apparently, Southwest Airlines HATES people flying to Portland. At least, that is the sense I am strongly feeling right now.
Even today, my flight is cancelled. I mean, who the heck wants to fly into Seattle, and drive to Portland? Apparently I do. Who knew? Its better than waiting until tueday, to most likely just be turned away again :(
So here I sit, paying $10 to access the internet. Paying an extra $160 to drive to portland. But going home? Priceless.
(though if they offer to reschedule me for a free ticket, maybe I can handle putting off going home for one day more)

Christmas!!
Christmas has come to the farmhouse!!
We've bought outselves a tree!! Happy day! It wasn't as big as last years, but it'll do ;) Wow! Those pics just uploaded in the backwards order!! Oh well... For those of you who are wondering... Tabitha is the one with shoulder length brown hair, and Kjerstin is the one with glasses.
It was a slight adventure as we just kinda ropped the tree to the top of my car, but we didn't really have a long enough rope so it kinda was a, hold on for your life kinda moment ;)
We still have a ton of decorating to do!! Maybe if I feel up to it, i'll post about that as well!!
Later!

Fascinating Womanhood
If He Says No
If you use this feminine approach and the man says no, you can count on it that your request has been unfair or selfish. In this case you need to work on your Angelic Side and try to discover where you are at fault.
You may have failed to understand his duties as leader, or his driving desire for status. Or it might be that your request is beyond what he can financially afford. Often a woman's desire is in direct conflict with her husband's masculine responsibilities and he must say no to you as a matter of fairness to himself and his family.

Another time he is apt to say no when you have not been doing your part as wife. If you are selfish, neglectful of your home and appearance, and will not fix your husband his meals on time and have failed to become fascinating, he will not be inclined to bend himself to fill your just desires.

Hair Cut :)
Roller Derby
A few weeks ago, a friend who.... an interesting guy announced that he wanted my roommates and I to go to a mystery event. He refused to say what exactly we were going to, only that the tickets were cheap and that we had to pick him up by a certain time...
Let me tell you, this even was everything I thought it would be!! From chicks in little skirts pushing each other to scary announcers with matching Mohawks to weird fans (check the guy with the purple platforms)
I would seriously suggest this for all my adult friends/relatives.

How to Give Feminine Advice
Give forth advice as a "fountain" that bubbles over in a park. One can take as much or as little as he pleases, or may choose to stand back and admire the beauty of the fountain itself. Use the "take it or leave it" approach and let him drink as much or as little as he likes. Use the words "I feel", or "I believe," For they are indicative of of insight.
Make no effort to insist upon your point of view or to convince him, or explain why you feel as you do. And remember the following don'ts:
1) Don't appear to know more than he does...
2) Don't be motherly...
3) Don't talk man to man...
....In giving feminine advice remember: Make him feel superior in his role as leader.

Beautiful Bike!!
So, I am now the proud owner of a fun Beach Cruiser style bike...
I have to admit, that my shopping style in looking for a bike mainly centered around looking for a cheap bike... I didn't actually know what color I would be getting or get to ride it first...
It was seriously... buy the bike... surprise color... but I think its ok.
I was largely motivated by missing the bike I had in China. These beach cruiser style of bikes are really nice for just being able to jump on it and go...
I've been riding a lot on it... and oddly enough one of my favorite places to go is the Provo cemetery. Its super quiet, and I find its a good place to meditate on life... I also like going on the Provo river trail. Kinda like the Salmon Creek trail, but not as nice.
Yeah for cute bikes!

How Fascinating....
How to give sympathy
Come to him with warmth and tenderness. Your very approach should be enough to melt his icy mood. If he talks and tells you of his troubles, let him. If not, do not force the issue, for he may be hiding his failures from you. Don’t attempt to solve his problems, lift his burdens, or remove his obstacles directly and don’t give him advice unless he appears to want it. Then give it in a feminine way…

Fun at Will and Carries...
So.... I got the pleasure recently to watch Will and Carrie's children for the weekend. We filled it with yummie treats- and Star Wars.
We made several pies.... Cherry, Oreo, and Apple!! I also discovered to my enjoyment that Mitchell seems to be incapable of having his picture taken without striking a pose :P
Mitchell Had a Base Ball game on Monday, and recieved his trophy- which he was incredible proud of! Just Lukie being quite "snot-alicious"

Fascinating Womanhood.... take 2..
Makeup
Man are not opposed to artificial allurements if it makes the woman appear more alive and healthy. In fact, you attention to these details only indicates to him you efforts to please him. Eye make-up and lipstick especially help to make the face appear bright and fresh which is the reason they were created- to charm men.

Fascinating Womanhood
So.... On my recent trip back home, I picked up some goodies... Namely books. I had a whole list of things I was looking for, and high up on my list was my copy of Fascinating Womanhood.
For those unfamiliar with this book... It was published in the 1960's as a rebellion against the raising feminism movement. So, you can imagine that as far to the one side that feminism went to- this book went equally as far to the other.
I have come to the conclusion that this book is soooo incredibly awesome, that I have absolutely no choice but to publish a quote from it periodically. Please keep in mind that I find this humorous and one of the biggest laughing stocks I have ever come across.... and so... we have here our first quote:

Our Debt to Society
Although becoming the domestic goddess is our prime responsibility, it can become a narrow existence if continued indefinitely with no thought for others. We do owe a certain public good to the world, and it is such a benevolence that enriches a woman's life. If the homemaker can increase her efficiency at home so she may help those in need, she will become a better person and even a better mother and wife.

Making Cheese!!!
POST OVER-LOAD HERE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Yes, I know.... I don't post in forever.. and then I post a TON in one day.... what can I say?? I just have soooo much that needs to be said today! :)
Today, I began with the most basic, simple type.... just a white spreadable cheese... Delicious!!
Reciepe::
2 QT Raw Whole milk
Cheese Cloth
Heavy bottom pan
Liquid Therometer
Collander
Wooden Stirrer
Cute Ramekins ( like 5)
big strainer
suran wrap
Heat Milk to 175 slowly.... at 175 turn off heat, stir in buttermilk and 6 tsp lemon juice (may need more) slowly stir to seperate curd from whey. Let sit 5 min... gently spoon in collander lined with 4 layers of cheese cloth with a big spoon strainer. Let sit 10 min. Gently gather up, remove colander, and twist the cheese cloth gently, and hang the cheese cloth from wooden spon over now empty pot for 20 min.
Empty cheese on surface and cut in salt (to taste). Spoon cheese into little cute ramekins and press suran wrap onto top, directly touching cheese. Let sit in fridge until let, at least an hour. I'm guessing overnight best.... Serve with yummy crackers and with fresh pepper grated on top with a little bit of olive oil drizzeled on top.
This cheese is good for replacement of creme cheese or ricotta.....
See attachment to cooking guys blog to watch a video of him making it... though you will need to look around a bit to find it!!!

Lavender Days at Young Farm
Awesome!! Awesome!! Awesome!!
What else can I say about this past weekend? It involved food, horse drawn rides, lavender mazes and JOUSTING...
And what, I ask of you... what Lavender Feistival would be complete without Camels, Elk, Buffalo (it tried to get me and rammed the fence right at me) and Zedonkeys (a little zebra/donkey action there...)???
Wait a sec.... did I say JOUSTING??? I surely did. Aparently the owner of this corportion is really into jousting and centers his companies yearly Lavender Days around JOUSTING.....
Check this action out...
Check this guy out.. He's ready to go!!!
I know. its about as Awesome as it gets.. and I'd have to admit that I might have become a Jousting junkie... freaking AWESOME!! This has got to be about the coolest thing I have EVER done/ gone to.
Here's some other highlights...
US ON A HORSE RIDE
I was jus thinking to my self that I needed to meet a wench and a chubby cowboy... oh buy did that goal ever get fulfilled!!! Score!!

Evil Cats and Ugly Birds
Allow me to introduce, and present to the world- an evil cat. It's name is Stormy... though it goes simply as It to me. It has quite the habit of marking its territory... in that viscious way that only cats have. In fact, we had to throw out a couch this very night as it had been repeatedly desecrated by the very villiam to the left... numerous times. Don't be fooled by Its appearant idoicy.. there beneath Its vile stare lies the heart of a villian. I have to watch my very own goods like a hawk because of fear of It. It is even forbidden from my room- and from my presence. I would have to firmly that this war was started by It. Here I was nicely moving in- when the sneak goes into my room while I was out- and pees all over the place. I come home late and climb into bed... only to discover.. a... wet... bed. Hence the Evilness had begun.
Not only are we blessed with the presence of a Evil Cat... but we currently have a mess of ugly birds within our living room. I'm firmly aware that they will grow into cute hens that will feed us yummy eggs... but their ugly... and they smell :( They had begun their life extremely little and cute... but they are quite the ugly Adolencents...

The Farm House Clic
My roomates are extrememly upset about being apart of my blog.. and so I shall from now on call them..... hmm.... It could be thing one and thing two... or perhaps Spacey and Runney... or even... I don't know...I'll probably wait until a new set of names grows on me :P
Right now- we just returned from FHE (non-mormon friend... just google it, family home evening). I've been called to be a FHE leader... so I have to go now... Its the biggest joke to my roomies as I'm generally the hardest person to get them to go. The one to the lef thas even threated me with pictures of crying baby Jesus.
Though, when we're there- theres a time limit for how long they want to stay... after about ten min of refreshemnts their ready to go!! SO we have devised a gang sign to signal our readiness to go!! The one to the left is modeling this lovely sign for us.... its stands for the Farm House Gang (more on my house later).
Today, i was having a lovely visit with another person- Elizabeth- when they apprear across the kitchen island from us... do these weird moves. The one to the right, is dancing and the one to the left is rubbing her hand across her face repeatedly... I'd forgotten the signs!! it wasn't for a min or two that I loudly declared- "oh! you want to leave" and they both looked daggers at me. I started to explain to Elizabeth what was going on- when they grabbed my and we left... leaving the house they explained to me at length that this was our secret... and I was never to tell anyone.. of course the first thing I did when I got home was to blog about it :) Hey- if you guys didn't want me to talk about it- why did you pose for it in a pic???

Zions
Big Horn Sheep!! That's right, this is pretty much what I considered the highlight of our trip. There we were... innocently walking around when all of a sudden, theres this huge family of Big Horn Sheep... about 150 feet from us. Seriously close. It was totally cool, until about 10 in a sheep from another canyon started yelling-out, and the big guy- right there in the middle.. started looking at us and jumping down the hill right at us. Dude thought we wer trying to take over his chicks!!
I had throughout the trip, having a great time going over the idea that we were right in the middle of a community of Poligamists... I kept calling out for the "poligamies". My roommates kept thinking that I was going to disapear and join in the fun! I decided that since I didn't see any human poligamies, that i'd count the sheep. One man- lots of chicks.... I felt it approporiate. :)
We divided for most of the day as my roomates went on a hike that I wasn't comfortable with, but then we went Slot Canyon'ering... basically doing our best to get lost. I was pretty ok with it until we had to start doing some minor climbing. I fully admit that it was minor.. but... lets just say that I'm no Mountin Goat.. unlike Sarah My Roomie. Before I was able to force my self down the hill, I basically started to hug the wall and cried for a bit.... But then got over myself and climbed down.
The first night we failed to find a campsite.. So we ended up staying at a Travel Lodge. I was COMPLETELY fine with this.. though I could tell that my roommates were completely disappointed. We eventually choose to spend a second night there, and I worked my ways with the rangers to sweet talk our way into a camp site. Sweet!
Anywho- we survived, had a great time and got back in time for church. Good Times!!

Hello World of Blogging!!
Hmm... I have decided to enter into the world of Blogging. Not with any real intent, or purpose, but mainly becuase its seems its the "thing" to do right now. As in- all the cool kids are doing it. Man I give into peer presure easily. :)
Jessica had her babies today. Sad day!! She and Justin choose not to name their daughters Jacille and Juanqua as I'd hope :( But yeah for babies!! Congrats, and looking forward to seeing pics of your babies.
For those of you, a little unfamiliar with where i'm at... I work at DishOne Satellite as an Inventory Manager. I get to count and buy dishnetwork satellite product ALL DAY LONG. I know, your jealous of my incredibly exciting life. I live in Utah with two amazing roomies who are great at getting me to go out of my comfort zone (like slot canyon'ering in Zions, more on this another time). But here's a preview: (See pic of flowers/cactus).
Well... thats about it for now. I'll post more when I get it!!
